Bootheel Gourds

Bootheel Gourds is considered a family affair. The innovation of Hallmark Cards Designer, Alicia Thomas, these gourds are grown in Kennett, Missouri by her father, Ted Brogden. With the help of her brother, John Brogden, Alicia drys and cleans gourds of every shape and size. From there Alicia and John create birdhouses, feeders, ornaments, magnets, wind chimes, jewelry and other decorative gourd art. They use a variety of techniques such as staining, wood burning, painting, carving, decoupage, and stenciling. Bootheel Gourds stands apart from the rest with it's bright glossy colors, creative designs and expert craftsmanship.
